The trouble or difficulty with the SMART is that you require running extraordinary software that works with SMART in order to observe a drive’s status. Disk usefulness displays every disk’s SMART status at the bottom of the Disk usefulness window, but opening Disk efficacy immediately to check SMART status is a hassle. An easier approach is to make use of a utility that monitors SMART status in the background and alerts you if a drive’s status to modify.
