Hp 4200 gets stuck while printing multiple document

Hello people, I have been using HP printer for a while now but have never faced such problem with it before. Whenever a the printer is given multiple documents to print, it prints some documents but later it gets stuck and does not print any documents later. It does not get stuck when the documents are printed one by one. I cant figure out why HP 4200 gets stuck while printing multiple documents and hence need your help in solving the issue. For additional information, the printer is connected using a USB cable to the computer which is running on Windows XP. Any suggestions regarding the topic are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Check if the drivers for the printers are installed and working properly on the computer. Every device attached to the computer require appropriate drivers installed on the computer to work properly. If the appropriate drivers for the device are missing then the deice will not work properly. To check if the drivers for the printer are installed and working on the computer, Right click on my computer and select manage. Select device manager from the list populated on the left side. Now locate the installed printer in the list on the right. Right click on the printer and select properties. If there are any caution signs then follow the troubleshooting procedure mentioned. If the troubleshooting does not help then try updating drivers and then check if you are able to print multiple documents.

The application from which you are trying to print the document the document may be corrupt and hence the printer is getting stuck while printing. All the applications have many associated files. If any of the associated files of the application is corrupt then the application is bound to create some problems while running. Uninstall the application which you are trying to print and remove all the files associated to it from the computer. Once all the files and traces of the applications are removed from the computer, install the application again and check if the printer freezes while printing.

It is possible that the printer is faulty and hence it is getting stuck while printing the documents. If the printer itself is faulty, then it will not work properly and will create the problems like the one which you are facing. Get the printer checked by some technician and be sure what exactly is causing the problem. If the printer is faulty then there is no other option than to replace the printer itself. Before replacing the printer, connect and install it to some other computer and check if it is working properly or not.

Re: Hp 4200 gets stuck while printing multiple document

The computer communicates with the printer through the connecting cable between the computer and the printer. If the connecting cable is faulty the computer will not be able to communicate with the printer properly. Also you have mentioned that you have used USB cable to connect the printer to the computer, which tend to get damage with time. Hence change the connecting cord and the port on which the printer is connected and check if the printer works properly or not.
