HP C5280 printer prints blank pages form Mozilla firefox

Hello, I am facing a very unique problem with my HP C5280 printer. The printer is connected to my computer which is running on Windows XP. The computer has an Internet connection and Mozilla firefox is used as the default browser. Recently the printer is not able to print from Mozilla firefox. HP C5280 printer prints blank pages form Mozilla firefox. I have no idea as in what is causing this problem. Can the printer be faulty? or Is this some software issue? Please suggest some solutions. It looks like the drivers of the printer are not working properly. Every peripheral which is connected to the computer needs supporting drivers to be installed on the computer to make the device work properly. Drivers act as a mediator between the operating system and the peripheral. To check if the drivers are installed and working properly on the computer, right click on My computer and select Manage. From the list populated, select Device manager. Now search and locate the installed printers. Check if there are any caution signs against the installed printer. If there are any caution signs, then follow the troubleshooting procedure. If the troubleshooting fails, then try updating the drivers and see if the printer is able to print or not.

It is possible that the installed version of Mozilla firefox is corrupt which is creating the problem which you are facing. All the applications contain many files which are associated to it. If any of the file associated to the application gets corrupt then the application will not work properly. There are many reasons due to which the files associated to the application get corrupt. Primary being, update process. If you have performed update procedure recently, then it must have corrupted some of the files of the browser. Remove the application completely from the computer and remove all the files and keys associated to it from the computer. When all the traces of the applications are removed from the computer, download and install the latest version of Mozilla firefox and see if you are able to print from the browser.

Scan your computer with an updated antivirus as there is high possibility that the computer is corrupted by some virus. Virus get downloaded while visiting certain website or while downloading some data from the internet. Virus's have the tendency of getting linked to the files which are associated to frequently used applications. If such a situation occurs then the application does not work properly and creates problems like the one which you are facing. Scan the computer and clean the infected files. Once all the infected files are cleaned, check if you are able to print from the browser or not.

Check if the cartridges of the printer have ink in it. If the printer cartridges are not having ink then the printer prints blank pages. Therefore check the printer cartridges first. Start the printer and open the lid of the printer. The cartridges bank will be visible, remove the cartridges and check if they are empty. If the cartridges are empty, then get them replaced or get them refilled. Place the cartridges properly in the bank again and then close the lid. Now see if the browser is able to print the pages or not.
