    Microsoft keyboard on Mac Mini

    Hello,

I just installed a set Microsoft wireless desktop 3000 on my mac mini (mac os X 10.6.2). I installed the drivers and IntelliType 6.3.1 (the 7.0 is not yet available for this keyboard / mouse). The keyboard works in combination with good writing, even of key functions. But I have some concerns about the line numbers. 6 gives 8! and Altgr on Mac and many more miss spells. How do i correct them?

    Thank you for your help

Already, there's no Alt-Gr on Mac. Alt left and right of the spacebar have the same functions.

To see how your keyboard is recognized, go to "System Preferences" -> "International" -> "Input Menu" and click on "Show input menu in menu bar"

After that directs you in this menu entry (a flag appears next hour or volume of the speaker, top right) and click on "Show Keyboard Viewer" . This small application shows you real time keyboard layout, when the keys ctrl, apple, Alt or Shift active.

Go to System Preferences>> Desktop>> Search Results and you see that you can change the keyboard shortcut to something most appropriate for your keyboard of choice

Go to System Preferences on your Mac (click the apple in the upper left of your screen) and click on Keyboard and Mouse. Click Edit Keys, and pass the keys so that the control is the key command and control is the key to control. Once you do this, press Ctrl on your keyboard will act as the Command key and you'll be able to use the Ctrl key to your shortcuts. The Command key (the Windows key) is now your Control key. For laptop users, this option will apply to your laptop keyboard and your external keyboard.

The Microsoft keyboard is available only in certain applications mac os, in some cases can not select it. So you get used to it but no all keys works same as of mac mini keyboard. A simple advice buy a mac keyboard and then you'll face no problems.
