DVD Burning Error code 0x80020063

Hi,

I have a Power Mac G4 with Mac OS 10.4 Tiger OS. Lately, every time I go to burn a cd I get the following message: "This disc did not verify correctly and is unreliable. Because this disc is unreliable, discard it and try again using a new disc blank. (Error code 0x80020063)" I've tried a lot of CD that you are well, therefore dismiss it that. What could be happening? Why I am getting Error code 0x80020063 while DVD Burning ??

If you're comfortable with "/ Applications / Terminal.app", the easiest way to avoid this bug is MRI. DS_Store file in the recording before starting the burn. Drag everything you want to burn folder, close the burn folder, MR. DS_Store, and then click the Save button in the Finder sidebar. It seems the problem occurs when the burn folder window is changing in some way during the burning, for example, if you close the window after you start burning. If you do not feel comfortable with the terminal, I think the other solution is to not touch the burn folder at all after starting to record. Not closed, not moving, not changing its size. Switch to a different application, and do not touch the Finder to burn is complete.

I have also noticed a problem with the DVD + RW. If you burn a DVD + RW and then delete its contents, when you eject with the eject button on the keyboard, disk icon remains on the desktop. If you right click and eject the disc from the desktop, the disk is ejected from the drive and the icon disappears as it should. This only happens with DVD + RW. I've tried DVD-RW and I have no problem.

It is possible if it is an external drive there is a wiring problem. Unplug everything, turn off, restart and use different ports in the back of the unit and the Mac and, if possible with another cable. I've also had it where Toast / external drive only seem to be having a problem. After closing all the application, take a rest and reboot sometimes clears whatever the issue.

Another possibility is a bad batch of CDs. Switch to another package / brand of CD / DVD. You can also try a lower writing speed if your software allows. It is perhaps trying to write faster than the CD is capable of writing. Next time when u burn something uncheck Verify disc after recording and see if get this error.
