    Aqua 690 working on overclocking

    Hi,
In these times of extreme heat, cooling our processors is even more relevant. I have chosen two different thermal heat-sink for my system. The first is Taisol Aqua 690 and the other one is Thermal-take. Aqua 690 reigns supreme for some time and it is true that so far, this competition is not that worried. But in the case of overclocking it is also necessary to consider the other performance too.

Model star, CGK760 better known by the name Aqua 690 is actually a derivative of CGK742 (Aqua 680). The only difference between these two models from the insertion of a copper plate for the Aqua 690. This method is comparable to what we can do with the Alpha PAL6035. The body of the heatsink is like his little brother CGK742, ie aluminum. The feature of Aqua 690 is it has a Delta 4800 RPM Fan, thermal pad, Aluminum + copper base type support, etc.

If not the most efficient, the fan of the Aqua 690 has the advantage of being discreet. Another positive point of Aqua is the mounting system that is finally becoming practical as well as being more efficient. Indeed, it adapts perfectly to all the socket and provide a more even distribution of pressure on the Core of your processor. The heat dissipation will be even better.

Thermaltake Volcano III is a classical and very similar to the Aqua 660, this heat-sink is entirely made of aluminum. Recommended by Thermaltake as a spendthrift Low Noise, one suspects that he must not expect miracles from it, at least use enough of it. By cons, it is clear that the fan is really quiet. The small size, the Volcano III will be happy with all motherboards and a minimum location.

A new spearheading the Thermaltake line, the Volcano V and VI represent a real turning point in the range. With an all-aluminum body, the Volcano V is also a serious overweight which is rather positive. Another radical change, the fan who used this time looking a little more performance while remaining relatively quiet. Without reaching the acoustic comfort of a Radial End, the Volcano III will remain discreet for your ears.

Same as Volcano V, VI Volcano is Thermaltake response to the Aqua 690. Indeed, the only difference involved the Volcano Volcano VI with V, is the copper insert that can be found at the base of the heatsink. The design here is different from the Aqua 690 as the insert copper crosses both sides of aluminum base and is not encapsulated as Aqua. The least we can say is that Thermaltake has not skimped on copper since according to our measurements the Volcano VI.
