| Re: Issues With 24" iMac
I think the graphic drivers of your system are not properly installed and hence it is creating problems. If the graphic drivers are not installed on the system properly then the graphic adapter of the system will not work properly. If the graphic adapter is not working properly, it will create problems such as not producing all the colors or graphics required by the system. Check if the graphics drivers of the system are installed properly. Try to uninstall and then reinstall the drivers if necessary and then see if the performance of the system improves or not. |

I suspect there is some problem with the Monitor of your iMac because of which you are not able to observe all the colors on it properly. You have also mentioned about the shadows which are observed on the screen which is not a usual symptom of the graphic driver failure. I would suggest you to get the monitor of the system checked as it may be faulty. Shadows and pitting are only observed on the monitor if the Monitor is faulty. Replacing the Monitor will solve the problem.d |

| Re: Issues With 24" iMac
What is the system memory of the iMac you are using? High end graphics applications require considerable amount of system memory to run them. If the system memory is insufficient, it results in either the application not opening or resulting in system restarting. Check the system memory usage of the system while running the high end application and increase the system RAM if required. After increasing the system Ram, the system will not freeze or restart. Also in the system preferences, open the Activity monitor and check all the processes which are running in background and then terminate the processes which take up lot of memory usage. |

You will have to reinstall the operating system on your computer again. Even if the system restarts due to shortage of system memory it should not display the error regarding the Airport card. The Airport card not installed error is a typical issue which is faced by most of the Apple users who are using Mac OS X snow leopard. Try reinstalling the operating system in Install/Archive mode. Install/archive mode helps us in using the same applications which are installed in the previous version of the operating system. Once the operating system is installed, check if the system is giving the same error or not. If the system still gives the same error, then check the Airport card for any faults.

| Re: Issues With 24" iMac
As the iMac is recently bought, it must be under the warranty cover of the Apple care. If the computer is under apple care, then take it to the nearest Authorized apple service center and get the computer checked completely. The technicians will check the computer completely and will tell you what the problem is. If any of the hardware peripherals needs to be replaced then they will do it for free. |
