Device manager do not shows sd card reader under windows 7

Hi. Well I have a LG desktop system and it was been installed with windows Xp as the operating system. Also it had inbuilt sd card reader in the system. The problem is that after I upgraded the system with windows 7 the SD card reader option on the device manager is not visible. Why is this happening? Please help to get the issue sorted. Thank you.

There is a possibility that it may not show up in the device manager but may show up the drive when been plugged with any card into it. it happens as I have experienced the same. When I plugged in a memory it started showing the drive and was able to get detected. So try doing that it may help you to sort the issue as well hopefully.

Contact the manufacturer for the issue if this is happening. It may be that they would not provide service as you have upgraded the pre installed version of windows pack. But if that does not help then you could just re install the drivers associated to the system.
