GeForce 8200 vs AMD 780G Chipset

    Hi,
To upgrade my computer I have two board for choices. One is GeForce 8200 and the other one is AMD 780G. This both fits my need. I need some comparison details on it. The GeForce 8200 is like AMD chipset comes with integrated graphics processors that work with AM2 and AM2 +. I need some more difference among them. Which the better among them.

Tow points which I think is important to consider. The first is the video acceleration engine. The circuit of Figure 780G, dubbed HD 3200, based on the architecture of the Radeon HD 2400 that support UVD engine (HD decoding) and Avivo HD (post-processing filters). In turn NVIDIA unveiled the GeForce 8200 with a new engine VP3 which is added post-processing filters VP3 already implemented in the drivers for the 9600 GT. These provide, among other improved automatic color and contrast of videos.

Power management is also a topic to deal out with. This lies for the graphics cards. The GeForce 8200 is compatible with the latest technological developments in NVIDIA HybridPower entitled. It can start or shut down a hot graphics card from Windows Vista as long as it is compatible. So if you want a mobo for gaming then this one is the best choice.

The GeForce 8200 is very similar to the AMD 780G, technologies are supported DirectX 10 and HyperTransport 3.0 via the PCIe 2.0 bus interfaces as well VGA, DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort. The new NVIDIA chip is it provided as good or better than the AMD 780G. 4 ports memory extensions are available and compatible Dual Channel. The bars DDR-553/667/800 work with AM2, AM2 + models like the Phenoms can also operate in DDR2-1066. Models of memory media should be checked in the manual.

The card embeds a PCIe 2.0 x16, one PCIe x1 and two PCI conventional. Their layout is the same as on ATX motherboards. We regret that the radiator's GeForce 8200 chipset is relatively high (3 cm) and it prevents some graphics cards with large fanless radiators on their backs (as models Sapphire Ultimate home for example) to move correctly. 6 S-ATA connectors support RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10 and linear, its single IDE port is perpendicular to the card, which can cause installation problems in enclosures ATX very fair as the Fusion Antec, unless you connect the IDE cable before installing the motherboard.

Re: GeForce 8200 vs AMD 780G Chipset

Chipset GeForce 8200 is the first to incorporate the new engine decoding VP3. Like the AMD 780G, the VP3 now supports decoding H.264, VC-1 and MPEG-2. It is also able to accelerate two H.264 video streams simultaneously through the use of mode Picture-in-picture on some Blu-ray titles lately. You will not get a Blu-ray with an option IPP H.264, and this satisfies the film 300 that HD DVD has an option for PIP simultaneously see the movie encoded in VC-1 1080p and one 480p stream superimposed embellished the director's comments.
