Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203A is not working

I am having the Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203A in my computer system. When yesterday i tried to burn the DVD from this Sony Optiarc DVD RW Rom then this DVD RW was completely unable to burn the DVD. Even the burning process was not started. On the top of it, When i try to burn on the same blank DVD again it shows that the Media is not blank, insert the Blank DVD to proceed with the burning process. If i will insert the new blank DVD again it will not burn it. So every blank DVD that i am using is getting wasted, So what should i do for resolving this problem?

Some times the problem is related with the softwares instead of the hardwares. May be this trick will work for you. So try this.

Hi friend, I was also having the same problem. To solve this problem i started my computer in the safe mode and tried to burn the DVD and guess what this worked for me. I will advice to you that. You should also try this. May be this also works for you. If not so then this Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7203A is totally gone and it is of no use for the burning any DVDs but you can play all the types of discs and burn all types of discs excluding DVDs from this DVD RW ROM.
