| Logitech MX1100 Wireless Laser Mouse Lag Problem.!!
I am using the Logitech MX1100 Wireless Laser Mouse. After using it for a day or two, I started to experience the lag of the cursor. Usually the lag occurs when I try to make slow, precise movements. It is done mostly when I am using the applications like Photoshop or CorelDraw. At that moment the mouse seems as if I lost connection for few seconds. I am using the Windows XP as operating system. I am sure that the battery in the mouse are fully charged. Also I am having the desired drivers for the mouse. Since Wireless mouse is better to take some distance from system I don't want the wired mouse. Help me to isolate the problem. Thanks In Advance..!! ![]()

Maybe the drivers installed by you are not the latest. You can visit the Logitech Site to download the latest driver for your MX1100 Wireless Laser Mouse. While downloading , make sure that you are taking the drivers for the Windows XP operating system. Also use the Mouse Pad with the most reflective surface. The lag can happen even because of the uneven surface. So using mouse pad for the laser mouse is recommended. |

I was facing the similar problem like you. The cursor of the mouse use to lag a lot. Then I came to solution that the cause of lagging was my receiver. Initially the receiver was at the back side of the cabinet in USB port. When someone told me, I inserted the receiver in front and later the mouse started working smoothly without any lag. Hope you are doing the same thing, and this solution will apply to you also. ![]()

Even I think that you are not using the Updated Driver for the Wireless mouse. I know that it is Plug n Play device. But many times it happens that your other mouse driver gets conflicted with the wireless mouse drivers. In such scenarios you need to update the driver for your wireless mouse, which you can do by going to Logitech Site. If you already used another mouse, then try to uninstall the drivers that were installed for that mouse. Hope this will help you. |

The another Wireless device may cause interference resulting into lag of the mouse. So do you have or recently added any other wireless devices nearby your system (like microwave or cordless phone). If it is there then disconnect the other devices and then check. I am sure that your mouse will function properly afterward. |

Many Wireless users face this problem because of the receiver, that is connected behind my most users. So as suggested by "deoWo" try to connect the receiver in front of the cabinet. Also make sure that you are inserting it in 2.0 USB port. Also use mouse near the receiver (don't go too far). Distance may result into lagging of mouse. |
