I have purchased a new Macbook Pro as the old Ibook G3 is not working.I have some important data on my Ibook G3 which i need to access for some official work.So is there any simple way in which i can copy the data from the old ibook to Macbook Pro?The new macbook Pro also faces some problem with pointer getting freezed.Using a Logitech wireless mouse currently for my new Macbook pro.Need help

As I don't know the exact reason why your Ibook is not working i will suggest the basic steps to try and start it.Remove the battery first from the ibook and provide power to it using the AC adaptor. Now press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. After doing this remove the AC adaptor and replace the battery.Once the battery is replaced connect the AC adaptor and press the power button.Hopefully your ibook starts.

This according to me is the simplest way of transferring data from the old ibook to new macpro.I suppose that you must be using the ibook as a paperweight as you have bought a macbook already so try and open the ibook and remove the hard drive carefully. Now you will need an external case for portable hard disk or a converter cable (cable with one end connected to the hard drive and other having USB port). In both the cases you will be able to access the hard drive through USB port connected to Macbook pro.

Wireless mouse tends to create many problems for the users.Lets start from basics.First replace the batteries of the receiver and the mouse.Check if the mouse is used inside the mentioned range of the receiver.Check the cable connecting the receiver and macbook and last but not the least check for the installed drivers and troubleshoot accordingly.Connect a wired USB mouse to check if the pointer freezes or not.

Taking the ibook to a local data recovery shop is the easiest way to get the data from the non working ibook. To recover data from the old ibook they will remove the hard disk and will transfer the to a new hard disk and give it to you.The data recovery vendors can recover data even if the hard disk is damaged. It will not cost you much but still its worth it if the data is important.
