SD card not read properly in Windows 7

I am having the 1GB SD memory card and i am using the card reader for connecting it to the laptop. but this memory card is not shown in the computer when i connect it to the laptop. I am using the Windows 7 operating system in my laptop. However i have checked the 4GB memory card with the same card reader and this memory card is shown in the laptop. When i connect my 1GB memory card to the laptop then the laptop hangs in between and the explorer of windows OS does not responds.

Re: SD card not read properly in Windows 7

Your 1GB memory card is not shown in the laptop when you connect the card reader to the laptop. However the other memory cards are shown in the laptop when you connect it to the laptop. This can be because of the memory card damage. The memory card which is not shown in the laptop might be corrupted that is why it is not shown in the laptop. However some corrupted memory cards are shown in the cell phones. Insert this SD memory cards in the mobile phone which supports the SD memory card. Format the memory card. This will solve the problem.

Re: SD card not read properly in Windows 7

The other reason for this problem can be the Card reader that you are using to connect the SD card to the laptop. The card reader is not working properly. Please check this card reader with some other laptops or the computer systems. If it is not working in the other systems then this is the problem of the Card Reader. Change the Card reader which you are using. Use another card reader and transfer the data from the SD card to the laptop and from laptop to SD card.

Re: SD card not read properly in Windows 7

If the card is not read properly to the laptop from the card reader then you can use the inbuilt card reader of your laptop. The external card reader which you are using is not working properly. It is always better to use the inbuilt card reader rather then using the external card reader. There can be many problem occurs while using the external card reader. But the problems can be resolved by using the internal card reader of the laptop. Some times this problems occurs due to the USB cable which you are using to connect the card reader and the laptop. This problem is resolved by using the internal card reader as there is no USB cable needed for the connection.

Re: SD card not read properly in Windows 7

You have said in your query that the operating system hangs in between and the Windows explorer does not responds when you connect your 1GB SD memory card but it is working fine when you connect other Memory cards to your laptop. This is because of the Corrupted memory card. The memory card you are using is corrupted that is why the windows explorer hangs when it tries to read or retrieve the data from this memory card. There is no way by which you can repair this SD memory card.

Re: SD card not read properly in Windows 7

The Windows explorer is hanging and not responding in between, when you connect the SD card to the laptop. This is the problem of the Operating system of the laptop. You are using the Windows 7 Operating system in your laptop. Make sure you are using the Original and genuine operating system in your laptop or in the computer system. You are using Pirated version of the Windows 7 operating system in your laptop. This is the problem why the SD card is not read properly in your computer system.
