    Logitech mx310 Mouse Error

My logitech mx310 mouse stopped working After updating windows xp. I am getting error : Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). I rebooted my windows xp in safe mode and the mouse is still stuck. Is there anything else that I can try?

Uninstall the logitech mx310 driver from Device Manager, and then scan for new hardware to install the driver again. You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. Windows may have the driver built-in, or may still have the driver files installed from the last time that you set up the device. However, sometimes, it will open the New Hardware Wizard which may ask for the driver.

When an error such as Code 39 Error exists on your windows xp system and you can’t see and access your mouse. To see the error message, go to the device manager. Select Hardware then go to Device manager button. Your logitech mx310 mouse drive should have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark beside it.

Is this a USB or P/S2 mouse? Have you checked the connection for the mouse? Have you shut down the PC and restarted it (Cold Start). If updating the driver does not resolve the problem, it indicates that there is a problem in the registry. To fix this problem, you may have to remove a few keys from the registry.
