ASUS Eee PC 1000HA won't turn on

I recently got ASUS Eee PC 1000HA ,the problem is when i try to start my laptop it boot for few second and then automatically shut down. I tried to turn back on but it again goes down. It has a lot of spyware and viruses, running windows xp. So if there are any suggestions please let me know. Thanks in Advance.

There are many reasons that your asus eeepc 1000ha won't turn on and often very few clues about what might be the problem. Clean the terminals on the battery & computer with a clean eraser. Make sure you keep eraser dust out of your box. You are looking for a light indicator that the battery is charging or in use.

Try this: unplug the asus eeepc 1000ha laptop, remove the battery, press the power button a couple times (I think that should make sure it discharges the capacitors a bit?), leave it there maybe 2 minutes, make sure the RAM is properly seated, unplug every peripheral (even the cd/dvdrom drive), power it up on direct electric power. Check if you can get into the BIOS (F2, or F10, or delete, or some random key depending on the manufacturer, that you press when you power up).

Have you tried removing the battery and running the asus eeepc 1000ha laptop from the main supply? Take the battery out and unplug it, push the power button, let it sit for 5 min, put the battery back in and plug it in and try and turn it on That should reset the power unit in it. If the asus eeepc 1000ha will not power up with a certain hardware component install then that component may be faulty.

When you press the power button on the asus eeepc 1000ha laptop, do any LEDs flash? or is there any new noises from the laptop itself, such as the fan starting, HDD working, etc? The power jake on the motherboard may be faulty. You need to install a new power jack on to the motherboard.

Is battery being charged when in asus eeepc 1000ha laptop and mains connected (charge led should blink now and then)? Is the battery charged (how many leds in the battery meter when you press test button)?when you press power button, do you get any reaction at all?
