Re: Logitech MX518 vs Razer Salmosa

The most touted feature of the MX518 by far however is the ability to change DPI sensitivity on-the-fly. 1600-dpi MX Optical Engine: Experience ultra-high resolution and pixel-precise tracking. Adjustable Sensitivity: Shift from pixel-precise targeting to high-G maneuvers, without pausing the action. Out of the box without drivers, the mouse already sports 3 resolutions of 400 dpi, 800dpi, and an insane 1600 dpi. MX518 seems to be a favorite on OCN. I'm a little surprised the Salmosa isn't more popular considering the price.

Logitech MX510 gaming mouse. While the MX510 offered higher performance than other Logitech mice, there was little else to distinguish it from the MX500 premium mouse. Common defects were the mice constantly froze, and the mouse's USB device appeared to unplug itself from the PC according to the device manager.

Re: Logitech MX518 vs Razer Salmosa

Though the Salmosa looks like your basic two-buttons-and-a-scroll-wheel mouse, flipped over it reveals its true gaming prowess, The Razer Salmosa is earmarked as an entry-level gaming mouse. The mouse itself doesn’t look like much. It appears to be a standard 3-button mouse. This would in theory allow you to pick your weapon of choice easily, without accidentally scrolling to the next one. It’s also fully customizable in terms of speed.

Re: Logitech MX518 vs Razer Salmosa

The Logitech MX-518 is a mouse designed for gaming. The mouse has a splendid ergonomic design that fits perfectly into an average human hand. The sides of the mouse are provided in such a way that they provide a firm grip while holding the mouse. It is the successor of the Logitech MX-510, though it is argued there is little difference, or preference to the MX-510. Two buttons are provided on the left side, to be used by the thumb. The remaining 3 buttons are above and below the scroll wheel.
