    Hi friend,

Obviously you will get the sound problem. The thing is that the sound driver for the HP DV1000 model over the windows 7 is not available yet.
I recommend you to uninstall the windows 7 operating system and install the Windows XP which you previously had. Do this thing and let me know if your sound problem get solved or not.

    Hi,

I have same problem over HP DV1000. I installed windows 7 over the windows vista, and basically the sound problem started. I have tried to search the sound driver for the HP DV1000 which is compatible for the windows 7, but didn't get any sound driver.
I think I need to get back to again windows vista as not getting solution ver the sound problem. If you get any solution over this then please let me aware about it.
