Audio device is not installed after windows update

First of all hello to you guys, well the problem is that after installing automatics updates for Windows in my computer the audio device is not detected by the computer. The audio device is shown as not installed. but it was working very nicely before installing the automatic updates of Windows. What is this about ? I am not getting it. Reinstalling the drivers can fix this problem or not?

Well you have not mentioned that in your query , Which operating system you are using in your computer system . Reinstalltaion will fix this problem of the sound device of your computer system. But i am providing the steps to reinstall the sound device drivers for Vista operating System.

Procedure for uninstalling and reinstalling the sound drivers for vista operating system:

1-Click on Start Menu
2-Select Control Panel
3-Select Performance and Maintenance from the sets of the available things
4-Select System then the system properties will appear on the screen
5-Select Hardware tab
6- Now start the device manager and search for audio and speaker
7-Double click this , after that the list of audio devices will be shown, right clicking on this devices and remove or uninstall this
8- Restart the Computer.

If reinstalling the drivers for sound devices fix this problem then Turn off the automatic updates for windows of your computer. Because Latest updates installs the latest software in your computer. It is possible that the Device driver software is not compatible with the new software which is installed by the automatic updates. So You have to download the latest driver for your sound device. So it is better to switch off the automatic updates.

If Reinstalling the driver software does not solves the problem then you have to download the latest driver software for your Audio hardware device. Because latest windows updated your operating system so your older driver software is not compatible with the latest windows updates of your computer system. Old software will not work for your sound card device.
