Differentiation betweeen EDTV and HDTV.

Hi All,

I am aware about the HDTV(High Definition Television) but know about EDTV.
Is anybody know about the EDTV? What is the difference between EDTV and HDTV?

Which TV should I select from EDTV and HDTV. According to you which TV will give me the better picture quality?

Please help me to solve confusion regarding EDTV & HDTV.

EDTV stands for (Enhanced Definition Television) and HDTV stands for (High definition TV).
The dis[play of the EDTV is 480P. The picture type of the EDTV is of the Progressive Scan .The quality of the picture of the HDTV is better than the EDTV. So I recommend you to select HDTV rather than EDTV.

1. EDTV does not better than HDTV .

2. The major difference is in the picture quality. If screen size is large , then the quality of the picture looks similar. Each DVD available in the market is able to play in the EDTV.

3. According to me if want the best quality of video then select the TV which is compatible with 480P.

Below is the information which is I know about the EDTV:

*. EDTV(Enhanced Definition Television) is the TV with the displays of the progressive scan of 525P or 480P.

*. EDTV is the advanced step in the field of the display technology. Which has better picture than normal TV.

*. EDTV paint a entire frame within 1/60th of a sec, So that it can paint single frame two times.

The important differentiation between EDTV and HDTV is that the HD broadcasts of the HDTV(High definition TV) is sounds good that EDTV(Enhanced Definition TV).
But there is no more difference between picture quality of both of them.
We can see high-definition broadcasts on EDTV better than HDTV.

I don't know more other than this..
