Mini-itx vs micro-atx

What is the difference between mini-itx and micro-atx. I know Mini-ITX is slightly smaller than microATX. What is the exact size of this motherboards. I am wondering how much of an disadvantage it is to get a micro-atx, i.e. did it really conserve any space?
