Logitech Quickcam Express undetected

HI. I have borrowed a Logitech quickcam express webcam from one of my friend for a project work. The thing is I am not able to detect the Webcam into my Pc. I tried but it shows as unable to detect or Device not recognized. Also tried installing the software from control panel nut it did not work either. What to do? Please give me a solution for this. Thank you.

Hi. The issue seems not a big problem actually. It is just that you need to install the drivers into your system for the webcam to detect. Ask your friend for the disc as well. Install the drivers into your system first and then try to connect the webcam to the system. As the drivers are installed into the system it then automatically detects the hardware device attached.

The drivers are but of course very essential for an external device to be used for the first time on any system. Othe than the drivers utility disc there is a concerned issue that your Usb port may not be proper or the Usb port into which you have plugged the webcamera is not suitable for the access. it might require a good data transfer port with high speed connectivity like USB 2.0. try connecting it to the other port may be then it would work.

You also need to check the compatibility of the the device with the system you are trying to plug in. It may be that your system is too old for a device like quick cam express to get detected or to run. Check out the compatibility of the device for the system it would work properly. If it matches up with your system then it should work out for you by installing the drivers or by connecting the device to the other port.
