Error 9672 while trying to add HP printer

Hi,

I having a brand new issue HP Officejet 5510 printer suddenly will not respond to print commands, try to trash and re-add printer and get ERROR -9672. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I also had the same Error 9672 problem with my HP F380 printer. The HP installation software leaves a running process called HP Communications that constantly occupies the usb port. You can simply kill it, or reinstall the HP software (and reboot). There is a way to get it to print over AE, but it will no scan.

Try the following top remove error 9672

1. Install Footmatic-Rip-3.0.2.2.15.ppc.dmg, espgs-7.07.1.ppc.dmg, hpijs-2.7.6.U.dmg
4. Go to Add Printer.
5. In "Printing:" Select HP, then select HP Deskjet F300 Footmatic / hpijs (recommended).
6. Click Add

The simplest way to erase software from your PC, is through the control panel. Select the Start menu, select Settings and then select the Windows Control Panel. In the control panel, you'll find an uninstall option to remove and load computer programs.

A new Mac or a default install of Mac OS X will install the printer drivers from leading manufacturers. To uninstall the HP driver (hpijs drivers do not), go to Library / directory / Printers at the root of your hard drive. Remove the "hp" directory and restart the computer. Restarting the computer should take care of any communications software that was running HP.
