The operation cannot be completed because the disk is full

    Hi,

My problem is that, I set the Xserve / Apple raid / Xsan. When the quota is raised SAN client computers showing the SAN just fine and there is about 460GB free space. Everything looks good until they start to copy data to the SAN, then it gives the following message ... The operation cannot be completed because the disk is full. What should I do ???

If you have trouble emptying the trash of the files you have deleted an Xsan volume, it might be because the volume does not have a pool of storage available for general use (ie, all volume storage pools are configured to be used exclusively, whether for data and metadata from the volume or only user data, with an affinity only). Each volume includes a storage pool that is available to non-exclusive use (one pool of storage that is configured to be used either to "All data" or "User data only").

Do not mount Xsan volume on any client until the volume has completed booting. Clicking volume, an indicator of spinning activity appears at the top right of the Manager window to indicate that the Xsan volume is starting. Do not click on the Mount read / write or read-only mount in the information client tab until the activity and volume disappears Stop button is activated at the top of the window.

Check the data types of a storage group that can be used to do this follow the steps bellow:

    1. Open Xsan Admin, select the SAN or controller, and then click Settings.
    2. Click Storage, double-click the storage pool in the list. Look next to "use" storage in the road configuration of the pool to see how to use the storage pool.
