Noise from PSU when powered by UPS

Hello,
I have UPS.Whenever the power goes off and the PC starts to draw power from the UPS batteries, I notice that the PSU starts making a strange crackling sound as if a very heavy transformer is at work. The strange thing is that when the PC is powered from the mains (the power is still going through the UPS, but obviously isn't coming from the battery), this noise gets significantly lower and is barely audible.

Re: Noise from PSU when powered by UPS

From the above query it shows The noise is coming from the PSU, not the UPS. The UPS is supposed to get loud on battery mode, cuz its transformer to turn DC power from the batteries to AC power to supply to the PC turns on.something wrong with the batteries.psu with 80+ issue is no surprise when they are trying to draw more watts from the watts it draws and such design means it needs a steady stream of power which batteries can't supply since the stream is less stable once the power from the battery starts to drain, so to maintain the efficiency the psu works harder and puts a strain to its internal components that' make noise .

Power Suply Making Noise

Only possible thing in a PSU that could make a 'screaming' noise is the fan.A fan start making noise if it starts failing. If it is spinning like mad trying to cool something down a lot.PSU are getting hotter than they used to.It s drawing more power than it used to.Overload, is the main reson for noise. You have to check your fan off PSU. tight it's screw. If it's loose then it make noise.Change your PSU if it's become so old .It cant take so much Overload.

Your PSU get Old an its fan become loose. So check for that. Overlaod is cause the reason making noise.PSU are get hotter when load comes on him an it making noise.May be you'r Ups is been outdated .The battery has discharged and needs to be recharged by connecting a data cable to your pc and installing the supplied software. You have over loaded the PSU. Change your UPS.
