Keyboard starts typing random letters

this happens on laptop keyboard as well as wireless keyboard.

just starts typing random letters. I can hit the same letter 5 times and get different results.

Running Vista on Toshiba Satellite L355 with 3gig on 32 bit OS

Happens most often in Outlook and Windows apps.

Any help is appreciated.

Boot from safe mode and try in notepad , also if this problem is only regarding to office product then there can be virus issue also get updated drivers..

I'll try notepad next time it happens but it is random so when I reboot it does not happen.

Also - updated zonealarm and scanned for viruses. Could it be something else?
