    Gateway laptop overheating

    I am having trouble with my Gateway laptop, it gets hot while playing game and makes noise of fan. After some time it automatically shuts down. I have removed all the dust from the fan and heat sink, still same problem. Can anyone help!!!

    First Clean the fan and the heatsink with compressed air. if still the same problem then try to reduce the temperature of cpu to 50%. Go to control panel then power options > change plan setting > change advanced power setting and reduce your max cpu.

    Laptops have the tendency to overheat. Overheating can be dangerous to the machine, and can cause hardware to fail and possibly damage itself. Try this : Use the air duster to dislodge the dust by blowing through the intake grills and exhaust ports.
