Problem Narrowed Down - Vista DvD Rw Problems

Ive finally narrowed the problem down, Or so I think.


Windows Vista See's my DvD rw as a Cd Rw Drive,

This makes sense to me as It read/burns cd's fine, But not DvD's.

Really what I need to know is how to make Vista see my DvD Rw for what it is.
The Model is... Optiarc DvD Rw Ad-7200S ATA.

If someone could help me I will be greatfull.

The problem either lies with your Windows Vista or your Writer. Try to clean install windows vista, but if the problem is with the writter, get it replace if it is under warranty...
