Hard Disk Low Level Format

I have Samsung IDE Hard disk SV0411N 40GB
i want to do low format on it...i hv operating system installed on that drive still i want to foramt it,can anyone tell me how to format ?
and how much time will it require ?

Download Samsung Disk Manager utility. Make a bootable disc out of the utility and then boot from the disc. Now there will be several options and hard disk tools. there select low level format or Zero Fill hard disk...
