New Mac Trick after pressing F5

I have Mac OS X been installed on my system. Now, i would like to know that if you have a word written in a text field and if the blinking cursor is inside that particular word or next to the word i.e not in a space and if you press F5, then what will happen? Has any one try out? Kindly let me know what happen when you press F5. I have heard that it's a new Mac trick. Would be grateful if any body provides me the correct answer.

To autocomplete any word start typing and then press Option + Escape or just F5. When you press F5 a large list of words will appear, it seems this trick works in all Cocoa apps. Should have checked that. You will then be presented with a long list of words where you can use the up and down arrows to select the word you want.

If you hit Shift-Cmnd-4 a little "scope" appears, click and drag it out into a square; when you let go your computer will take a picture of what was in the square. If you're typing in a text field (in Safari, TextEdit, or most any Mac OS X app), you can press F5 while your cursor rests in a particular word to see a list of words that begin with the letters after the last space.

Apple keyboards are mostly the same as keyboards on any computer, with only a few exceptions. The trick is to change the keyboard shortcut in Keynote for Play Slideshow from cmd-option-P to F5.
