Adaptec avc-2310 videoh media issues

Heya,

I have been trying to install an adaptec avc-2310 videoh media centre usb version on my computer but it end up with errors informing me "This device cannot start". I have had it working but had to format and do a fresh reinstall now all i get is this .I am installed it and reinstalled it a few times, and visited adaptec website for dl drivers but nothing seems to be fix the problem.can anyone give me any suggestions please

Hi there,Its important to note when is the error happen so that we are able to know if it is occurring in the BIOS or not.Check if the same error is happening in the Device Manager.If the error is not happening the BIOS then you are using an older version you have to get a new version

Does your USB enabled in BIOS?You need to download drivers for this item.Or open device manager and get the update of your drivers for USB and other stuffs in your machine.Generally after a re installation drivers need a reinstall.The operating disk normally only contains basic drivers to get you up and working

I know there are certain issues with windows xp sp2 and usb. You can try to reinstall the usb device drivers ( for the usb device itself ).Sam time visit to device manager uninstall the drive.Leave this drive connected to USB port and reboot computer and see if found new hardware reinstall it
