| Need to use a serial device in usb port
Hello friends, I just grabbed a device that uses a serial cable, but I do not have a port on my Computer.I would like to connect this device with my computer.So what am asking is that Is there anyway I can download a driver that will let me to use in a regular usb port? Would like immediate help if possible. ton thanks |

I have not completely captured what you are talking about. It the mentioned "USB 2 Serial Communication" added by you or does the device come with a build in "USB 2 Serial Communication"? If the case is latter you have to have a driver from the vendor for OS X. If it comes only with the umpusbxp.sys when it will just run under Windows. umpusbxp.sys is the USB driver specifically written for Windows. I do not have certain knowledge about the umpusbxp.sys driver |

I guess you are looking for a USB to Serial (DB9) cable adaptors...It will let you connect your legacy serial peripherals to any USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port on your computer with this excellently designed USB to Serial adapter. Your serial device is simply configured as a virtual USB port and can be treated the same as had it been installed via a serial port.Which are good for serial devices to new PCs without a serial port, or for connecting a large number of serial devices to a PC via a USB hub. |
