Dell 8400 power supply upgrade

I'm having a Dell 8400 system. Its running at 3.2ghz, with 1 Gb RAM, DVD-RW and having160gb hard drive in it. Some how i feel that my power supply is not good enough and would like to upgrade it. So, can any body tell me that how to upgrade my Dell 8400 power supply? Is it possible for me to do so? Kindly provide me the correct solution for the above issue. Any kind of information on the above issue would be appreciated.

The Dimension 8400 uses a standard ATX power supply with a 24 pin main ATX connector and a 4 pin 12 volt connector for your CPU. You need a minimum of 450W power supply for your system.

Dell seriously under rates their power supplies. According to me its little bit difficult to upgrade your Dell 8400 power supply, as the processor is also soldered onto the motherboard, so it can not be upgraded independently.

I think you should contact Dell service center. Dell technicians would be able to help you and would properly assist you in order to upgrade your power supply of your particular system. Its highly recommended that you contact Dell service center for the above issue.
