Printer ink dried up frequently

Hi,
I have a printer which I had hardly used. Now recently when I tried to print the page the print does not comes out. First it showed a dim print on the page. I think the ink is completely dried up. Is there is a way to use it back again. I have two cartridges in the my Lexmark printer. The first on is color and the second is black. Now the black is giving out print but the color is completely dull. My cartridges will be wasted. So I need some tips which can make this cartridge work. Thanks in advance.

If the ink is completely dried up then here is some tips. But I do not guarantee you that this will work. It can even damage your cartridge so this is up to you to follow this. First remove the card ridge and place in a small bowl warm water. Do no submerge it the water level must be around 1/2 inch. Then take a soft cloth and clean the nossels for the cartridge. After drying it completely place it back to the printer. Run it for 2 to 4 times to get the ink flow.

Yes there is way by which you can save you dried up cartridges. All thing you need is a piece of soft cloth, some q tips and a bottle of 99% isopropyl alcohol with little boiled water. In a container some boiled water around 1/2 inch. Then add a full cap of ammonia in it. Place the cartridge in it for 5 minutes. After that remove them and clean it with soft cloth. Now squeeze the cartridge from the middle. Now place the cartridge and get some print out. Run for some while.

In some cases where there is a damaged head on the printer is not fixable. You have to replace it. But in most if the cartridge does not has any physical damage can be repaired. The ink gets dried up and stuck in the nozzels of the cartridge. You can clean that by a solvent and then place it in the printer. If it is not working then send the cartridge to service center for repair.
