    Mic problems with Realtek

I have a Gigabyte motherboard that supports Realtek HD Audio on board and I have a problem of recording from the mic input, very soft voice is recorded. I have also tried to plug it in the rear panels but it will again record very softly? The mic input slider is grayed out in the volume control panel options, so I cant use that either however on other pc the mic seems to work fine. So if anyone can help me with this problem it would be great. Thanks

To enable the mic input slider in volume control first you have to go to the control panel, then sounds button, then sounds and audio devices, next, on sounds and audio devices properties, select volume tab, and click on 'device volume' 'advanced' button and then on master volume, click options, then properties. Finally under the 'playback' option, where it says 'show the following volume controls', make sure the box is checked that corresponds to the place you are plugging in your mic.

I think that you need to reinstall the driver again for your sound, so download the drivers for your audio that can be found here: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/M...ver_Model.aspx
