    How Do I Turn My Usb Port On

    Hello , i Have a windows Xp Computer , I have 2 USB port and both are inactive ,I would like to know how to enable or disable USB ports from the registry in windows xp.or by any other method actually , I want to verify that they are working well and enable , please help me thanks in advance

    Normally there is no driver to install or configure anything. Simply connect the USB cable that connects the screen to the computer, and it will work like any USB hub when you plug a USB device. Check that the USB cable that connects your monitor to your PC is secure and tries to change it if ever. Also tries to connect to another USB port on your PC

    you go to Control Panel, then System Properties or System => Hardware => Device Manager choose the option from the menu "Serial Bus controllers" and see if they are activated or not , also , In regedit goto HKLM / System / CurrentControlSet / Services search for USBSTOR Change the DWORD value from 3 to 0 , Reboot and that its

    Just go to Start / Run and type regedit to navigate to the registry.
    Then go to this location :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ USBSTOR

    The value of START defined if usb ports are active or not. Set this value to 4 if you want to disable, or 3 to reactivate them.
