    Two Firewire devices on one port

    Is it possible to connect Two Firewire devices on one port? I have an external hard drive which connects to the firewire port. Now i have no firewire ports to connect any device and i am in a need to buy a new external drives. Is there any way via which i can connect two drives at a same time on a singe port? Please help...

    There are many internal device which gives you more firewire + usb ports. You can use additional devices here, also you can use an extension cable so that you get front access to it... See this link for images and more details : USB to Firewire

    You can go for a firewire hub that plugs into the firewire of your mac and gives you multiple ports to connect. There are two types of firewire hub, one which doesn't need power and the other hub needs power from an external power source like and adapter or internal power source like USB port.     Yeah, thats correct you can use those device, but these devices will slow down your mac as well as the device that you use. As the data bus and address bus will be common for both the devices and it will be used on time sharing bases. I suggest you should use single device on one port, especially when its a data oriented device like hard disk. All the best though....
