Cannot Open Hard Drives

Hi,

I have windows xp on my computer and I noticed that my anti-virus has detected a trojan horse. When I try to access my hard drives, both C: and D:, it gives me the option of "open with" but I cannot open the Hard Drives directly. It does not open normally nor explore option working,plz help

Virus might be blocking you drives from opening. First run the Antivirus, If you don't have then download it and run it :

I think Autorun.inf is causing the problem, try to remove it by following steps :

1. Open Start>>Run and type cmd and press enter. This will open a command prompt window. On this command prompt window type the following steps.

2. type cd\

3. type attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf

4. type del autorun.inf

5. now type d: and press enter for d: drive partition. Now repeat steps 3 and 4. Similarly repeat step 5 for all your hard disk partition.

Restart your system and your trouble will be fixed.

Go to command prompt and Run this command, to resolve your problem

c:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
c:\> del autorun.inf
d:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
d:\> del autorun.inf

And then restart your computer.
