Single layer dvd

what is single layer dvd and how much vedios i can write in to that dvd and what i need to write on that dvd please help me as i am having no knowledge about it ...and i want to copy some video to that dvd..

Signal layer dvd also called DVD-5 where DVD-5 = 4.3772161006927 so normally 4.7 GB dvd is (single-sided, single-layer) and 8.54 GB dvd is (single-sided, double-layer) you can burn such disk with nero burning rom check here Burn Dvd 9

Buy Single layer dvd from any computer shop now days it is cheap you can burn this dvd with nero , start nero there make selection at top for create DVD then select the type you want to burn like data or video then add files and select burn...

To create dvd in video format you need to convert your files in proper format if they already not in to that required format. another thing is all latest dvd player can play avi format so if you want avi files to burn then you can burn with data format also.else use nero vision to convert files ..
