dell dimension 1950 keeps restarting

Hello , As Stated in the Title , i have dell dimension 1950 computer , which keeps restarting everynow and then , Can you tell me why does my dell dimension 1950 restart itself , i want to know the solution to these problem ,please help me thanks in advance

Hello , Are you Sure it is dell dimension 1950 coz , I dont think Dell has 1950 in dimension series , instead it has 1950 in power edge series

Last option is to boot from the CD of winxp and choose R for repair after that
you choose the partition and type the administrator password At the command prompt c:\WINDOWS>chkdsk /r *

c: \ windows> chkdsk /r

and but before that remove the pc's power on case switch lead to the motherboard. get a screw driver and jump the pins on the motherboard that turn on the power then remove the screw driver. many times a faulty case switch will cause this issue being stuck in the depressed "active" position.
