First make sure problem is due to logic board as there can be issues with power supply connector or hard disk connector so better to check before step to big bang. Replacing logic board from sata drive is risky you will need to disassemble hard disk also need to solder some connection. well if you have hard disk connector problem that can be solve by this way.

You will need logic board which is identical to your original logic board check for manufacture also main thing is to get identical firmware on the hard disk you will find all information like firmware ,cache which should be identical with old logic board on the front sticker of hard disk. you will not get this easily you can find at computer shop which deals in old and damage parts.
