Connecting a computer to a av receiver

Hi everyone
I just bought a receiver that i am looking to connect on my computer so i would like to know which could be the best option to connect my computer SoundBlaster Audigy Advanced HD card to my receiver and speakers ?

The connection can be made just by connecting the optical cable to the PC and the receiver.You can get Dolby Digital effect with the digital connection and digital jack can help more to mix . Most software DVD players you can use .Go to Creative Lab website and search in the knowledge base for dolby digital AC-3. You will find that all you need is a mono mini-jack to RCA cable also you can use output to SPDIF.

You can use TOSLINK connection .TOSLINK or Optical Cable is a standardized optical fiber connection system. Its most common use is in consumer audio equipment via a "digital optical" socket, where it carries a digital audio stream between components such as MiniDisc and CD players and DAT recorders.but some says digital coax may sound better than optical.

Start off by using either a Coaxial or Toslink Optical cable to connect the Media Center PC to the receiver.On your receiver, you will want to change the input to surround input that you just connected to.

settings for a SoundBlaster Audigy sound card from Creative Labs; although, any sound card with 5.1 (or greater) with digital outputs will work.

There are two things that you will need to do:
• Enable digital output
• Disable AC-3 decoding
