Yes it is possible to use he LcdWriter with the Windows Vista. You will need to download .Net 1.1 for the same You can download the same from the official website of Microsoft. The tool is simple and easy to use with Media Center and it only use to display a writer data on the screen that shows a recording status or disc writing status. Download the .Net version and try back again.

The error can be due to a corrupt file or conflict among the system files. Deleting a dll file can solve up your issue. Here are some listed solutions which can make your LCDWriter to work. First press Ctrl+Alt+Del. Then go to process tab and look for ehmsas.exe. It much be running in the background. Then browse to Windows directory and try to search for lcdwriter.dll. Try this one. Ran the msi file and then changed the registry settings. Restart your system and try back again. Otherwise download the below version of LCDWriter. It is a usual MCE LCDWriter that display your current media file, the play status, etc. It work with ease with the Hitachi HD44780 displays. Download the file and install the application. Then set the session priority to playing music while watching slide show, etc. Manage the conig tool for your need and select the session. Click on save when you are done.
