    Re: Digital Audio Cable

Digital connections minimise cables and make wiring A/V sound simpler and easier. Digital Audio Cables look to preserve and transmit the highest quality digital signal possible.Instead of the two cables (for stereo) or even five cables (for surround) that would be needed for analogue audio connections there is just one cable, with no risk of getting channels swapped. Analog is usually a term used for phonographs or audio cassettes.Digital media include CD's, MP3 's and DVD audio signals which are processed by a chip and usually superior sound that much longer than analog audio takes.

    Re: Digital Audio Cable

Digital Audio Cables usually come in two types, that is coaxial digital cables and optical digital cables. The choice of which one to use is often made by what the audio destination accepts. If it takes only a coaxial electrical connection then coaxial is the only option, likewise if it only takes a Toslink optical input use an optical cable.Normally both the cable are same over a shot period. But if it is going to use for very long time then Fiber Optics are better to preserve signal. Coaxial digital cables still use copper wire to transmit their data from one component to another, although this time and many affordable solution with excellent quality, digital coaxial cables have limitations that the optical digital cables not making to the optical digital cable first choice for transferring digital sound signal from one component to another.

    Re: Digital Audio Cable

Each type of connection can reliably transfer the digital data from source to receiver, so there is no good reason to expect a sonic difference. However, the optical connections tend to have lower bandwidth, data transitions that can spread to make a little more difficult for the receiving device to the digital clock of the signal back. You can try XtremeHD Toslink digital optical audio cable that connects multi-channel audio from sources such as Apple TV, DVD players, satellite receivers, cable boxes and digital video recorders to your A/V receiver or television.
