Using flash memory

Hello friends,

I would like to import some of my important data from one PC to another.I feel using FTP is not conveniently way since there are slow internet connection. Is the copying data into flash memory (removable drive) reliable way for short keeping(up to 24h) and transferring data? I need to transfer my data without any changing - byte-to-byte. Which is more reliable way, flash memory or write data into CDROm?

thanks goes to any input..

Re: Using flash memory

You have several ways to do this, but the question is, how much data is there? over 2 GB I would think you would have to use DVD-RW's, and as a precaution I would verify after burn in the software.Alternatively you remove the HD from the machine with the data and plugging it in to the other machine, transferring the info across and then putting it all back, it would definitely have the quickest transfer rate for huge amounts of data.

I would like to know how much data you need to import you can adopt different ways.If you have plug in play mobile with enough memory just need the mobile.Am not mentioning about bluetooth here. Then I would recommend USB it is the good way of transferring the file.Burning the data will also store your data in to the CD so that you have already got an back up for your important data sd go for a Burning process

Re: Using flash memory

I suggest you to use the flash drive for importing the data.I have not experienced any problems with my flash drive.and i tell it is the fats way of transferring the data with an external aide.If the data is too large and the both computer are in the same room may be you can use an LAN cable for transferring the data you can attain astonishing speed by this
