Re: labelflash vs lightscribe

Both methods are equivalent, the final cost of LabelFlash seems to be higher than the LightScribe, but the former is also more efficient than the second. The contrast of LabelFlash is better, as the tester, which tends to prefer this printing technology.

Re: labelflash vs lightscribe

HP and Lite-On launched the LightScribe technology.nce burned, you can return the DVD and reinsert it. Special software allows you to burn graphics and text on the top, hence the name LightScribe, We must therefore equip themselves with LightScribe blank DVDs that were expensive .The barcode is used to position the laser for LightScribe. In high quality mode, printing may take up to half an hour. It is also possible to print the area multiple times, using a positioning system at the center of the disc. A ring with barcodes allows the laser to know at any time begin to print.

Re: labelflash vs lightscribe

NEC offers an alternative called Labelflash, with which you can print labels with the DVD. Unfortunately, this technology is not yet available in the USA. LightScribe and Labelflash discs, however, require different and which are not compatible.

NEC claims that can print Labelflash graphics with 256 levels of brightness and printing is faster than LightScribe. Labelflash is based on the Yamaha disc T @ 2, with the difference that can be printed as its upper side data.NEC is the only one to offer recorders Labelflash.

Only a handful of DVD burners supporting the NEC Labelflash technology. Labelflash also prints the upper disk, as LightScribe. The big difference is that the upper disk is blue, which provides a better contrast with the printed images. Unfortunately, NEC is the only manufacturer to offer recorders, CDs and software for Labelflash.
