Hey..

I'm on my way to build a new Core i7 and was wondering what heat sink/fan combination would be better. It is pretty good if am getting other i7 owners recommend. I plan to lightly overclock my proc so I want to be sure it won't overheat.

Thanks in advance guys !!

Re: Core i7 cooling options

I would rather go for more cooling with that extreme of a setup. It was plenty for the extreme system we built, but I got a report last week of someone running a Core i7 system with two NVIDIA 295 cards and it wasn't enough.I'd recommend Water cool MO-RA 2 PRO Extreme Performance 9 X 120mm Radiator Core the main features of the product is Pipes copper, fins aluminum dimension is around (L x B x H): 424 x 385 x 54mm having Weight approx. 2500g which can give a Pressure up to 20 bar and the connection is 2x thread G 1/4" thread

Re: Core i7 cooling options

I originally bought a cooler master V8, but it did not fit too well, so i decided to improvise by attaching an extra 80 mm fan to the "funnel" on the sideplate of the case and just forcing more air at the stock Intel cooler coolermaster v8 has some great reviews or a noctua NH-U12P, or a thermalright TRUE. akasa ak-967 is fine with budget.
