Flashing battery light orange three times then one green?

I recently got Dell Latitude C840 Notebook. The problem is Dell battery light flashes orange three times then green,it does not depend upon power cord whether it is plug in or not. I don't believe its a battery problem.

Dell battery light flashes orange three times then green means problem is not related with battery. Try charging your battery for about 20mins, if it still display orange light then your battery is faulty.

The flashing battery light is an indication that the system is attempting to charge the battery. If the battery is less than a year old Dell will replace it with another one.Try your charger and battery individually in another laptop. If both are OK, you probably have a system board DC power socket problem.

I’m pretty sure that orange flashing light has something to do with the BATTERY. This usually means that the battery either needs to be recalibrated or replaced. If you know the battery has a charge and the system shuts down when unplugged, the mainboard is faulty.
