Unable to boot Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe SATA

I have recently purchase Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe SATA drive as my networking person said me to do so, he has enabled it with my PC earlier but later on i changed my OS and switch over to windows XP SP 3, I used to boot my computer from this drive but now i am not able to boot from that drive, which makes me very worried, how should I get rid of this problem.

Which Motherboard you are using ? and for time being used further simple instruction to solve, Some older SATA controllers have problems with data throughput on SATA II drives. If you have an SATA II WD drive, place jumper across pins 5 and 6 and see if that corrects problem.

The driver did come with the motherboard, simply load the Serial ATA
Driver from the the CD's menu. and it looks like your motherboard only supports SATA drives in a RAID configuration, which means you'll have to (a) invest in two SATA drives, and (b) configure them as a RAID array following the instructions in your motherboard manual. According to the manual it supports RAID-0 (for performance), or RAID-1.

Unless you plan to install XP on these drives, you shouldn't need to reinstall Windows once you've got the drivers in place.
