The problem is that when I play games prototype, GTA IV for example, I get lag spikes about every 10 secs and their duration is like 2 secs. I heard many times that people says it's my graphic cards which can't take it, but my friend had a worse graphic card and he could play GTA IV on medium settings with no lag, I tried to play all my games on lowest graphics and resolution, but it still keeps lagging every 10 sec. No matter if I play on 1280x1020 with highest graphics or 600x400 with lowest graphics I still get the lag spikes / FPS drops every 10 sec aproxx. So I'm pretty sure it isn't my graphic card.

I tried to reinstall windows, but it didn't help. Does any know what to do? Please help, it destoys all the fun in gaming.

Btw, the lag spikes doesn't appear in the start of the game, it's first when I played them a little while they start to come.

BTW which graphics card you are using? i think you need to update the latest drivers for that.
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (3.6GHz, 1.44v) with TR Ultra 120E,
    Gigabyte GA-EX38-DQ6 v1.1, 4GB G.Skill PI 1066 5-5-5-15 2.1v ,
    Powercolor ATI HD4870X2 2GB, 4x SATA2 500GB Samsung HDD RAID 10,
    Creative X-Fi, Dell 2408WFP A01 24" LCD,
    Acer P221w 22" LCD,
    Corsair HX-1000 Watt PSU,
    Vista 64-bit.

What is the voltage of power supply you are using. Because the gpu consume more power than the system. It is recommended that the minimum requirement for the power supply for a geforce card is more than 400 w. Check out if it less then try to upgrade your power supply. I think this can fix up the issue.

Well, I found out that it's because my graphic card is getting over-heated I know that because we have tried to put it my friends PC and it over-heats on his PC too. It's getting about 76C IDLE! I tried to put my old ATI Radeon x600 256MB graphic card in and now I can run CSS without any problems. I already wrote to where I bought it 3 days ago.

Try to apply some cooling methods for your graphics card. Like for a few dollars you can buy a small case fan that plugs into one of the power connectors from the power supply. Attach it inside the case using some wire tires so that it points at the video card and blows air across it.

I got my PC last monday, so I aint gonna spend even work or money on it, the site where I bought has send a letterlabel now which I receive tommorow and then I have to send my graphiccard to them for repairing.
