TOSHIBA Satellite A215 Vista Laptop's Pioneer DVD-RW Drive not working!! Help?

Whenever I insert a CD, the DVD-RW Drive says it detects no disk. However, the Device Manager reports that "this device is working properly." I've already deleted the UpperFilters and LowerFilters.

The Drive can play DVDs but how can I fix it so it can run CDs too (audio, installation, etc)? It used to be able to play both.
